Abstract:

The goal of IGETS is to produce corrected SG series that can be directly related to the long-term gravity variations at a site. This goes much further than the existing raw 1 minute or 1-minute corrected data in the GGP/ICET database. The most important question is what are the standard corrections that will be applied by the IGETS data service centers, and how will their choice affect the final residual series available to the user from the ISDC(GFZ)/ICET database. Here we run through 6 years of data from Apache Point as a preview of the corrections that probably will be implemented by IGETS. Topics include the problem of the user supplying corrected data, use of the new instrument calibration files, the choice of IPG loadings, and the issue of including AG measurements.
